Hey, here are the things I would love to have my players have a head start on going into next year

  • The 20s

  • 5 3-Move Combos

  • 4 Levels of First Touch Juggling

  • U13+ Fitness Jumpstart

The 20s

 

The 20s are 10 footwork drills that I require my kids to do as soon as they show up to practice/game, before they shoot, goof around, whatever. They are foundational movements which must be mastered. I recommend starting with the first 3 and then add 3 more every week, till your doing all 10.

20 repetitions of each unless its a left side/right side, then it is 10 on each side.

  1. Toe under Walks (Scissor walk for advanced)

  2. Outside, Toe Under, Switch

  3. Outside, Inside, Switch

  4. Matthews (Inside, Hop, Outside)

  5. Pull Behind (L-Turn)

  6. V-Pull (3 variations, any are fine)

  7. Outside Twistoff (10 left 10 right)

  8. Inside Twistoff (10 left 10 right)

  9. Shuffle Chair (10 left 10 right)

  10. Sole Roll Chair(10 left 10 right)

Take One a week and master it!  Don’t forget to do both left and right sides.

PRE-SEASON FITNESS

This is the fitness for Stuttgart and Uruguay.  Do all that you are capable of

however if you are doing soccer fit or any other kind of cardio fitness, that would take

the place on those days.  Ignore the dates not matching up and just start today as if its activity 1.
